TYPICAL WIPER BLADE REPLACEMENT TYPES

Side Pin Type

To remove ANCO blade, press down on the locking button to release the spring. Pull the blade from the pin.

To remove a Trico blade, depress the spring lock with a small screwdriver and pull the blade from the pin.

Some new design Trico blades are removed by flexing the blade at either hinge point to release the lock. Pull the blade form the pin.

Still other Trico types are removed by pulling up on the spring lock and sliding the blade off the pin.
Bayonet Type
On ANCO types, depress the underside of the blade connector and release the lock. Slide the blade off the arm. On Trico and other types, lift the arm up and press down on the latch. Remove the blade from the arm.
Dead Lock Type
Universal blades replace the standard blade on a side pin type arm, The universal blade simply snaps onto the pin and will rotate freely when properly installed. It is removed by pulling it off the pin.
Universal Side Pin Type
Most deadlock types are released by depressing the small arm beneath the wiper arm. This releases the lock. The blade can be removed from the pin in the adaptor. If necessary, the adaptor can be removed from the arm.
