Using ProCarCare to find auto service bargains and special services
ProCarCare has a powerful search feature that can help you find money-saving deals among local Shops. The Great Deals and Custom Services page allows you to browse Current Specials being offered by Shops within your search area. From this page you can also submit a request for either a Premium Service or a Discount Service, through a simple process in which you send out a notice to local shops about services you want and invite them to send in a bid on the work. Please note that to reach the Great Deals and Custom Services page, you must have signed up and created your ProCarCare page.

How to find a Great Deal
To find special prices currently being promoted by Shops within your search area, click on the Great Deals and Custom Services link in the navigation bar on the left of your ProCarCare screen. Then, click on Current Specials and select a service category. This takes you to the Current Specials Search page. Select a location to search from and click on the Search button at the bottom of the page to view any offered specials for your chosen service category. If there are no special deals currently being offered in the defined search area, it may help to broaden the search area and try again.

How to make a Premium or Discount Service Request
From the Great Deals and Custom Services page you may use one of ProCarCare’s unique features to send a request for service out to nearby shops. You use the Discount Service Request feature to invite shops to send you a discounted price for a service you want. Alternatively, you may use the Premium Service Request to invite shops to send you an offer to provide extra service, such as vehicle pick-up and delivery, for which you’re willing to pay an extra price.

To send out a service request, simply click either the Discount Service Request or the Premium Service Request buttons. Click the “Create a … Service Request” link on either page and follow the simple instructions to select and send out the services you want performed. You’ll notice that when sending out a Discount Service Request, we allow you to offer one of several trade-offs to the shop in exchange for a discounted price. For example, you can offer to drop off your car on short notice or leave your car with the shop for an extended time. This lets the shop schedule repair work for times when they are typically slow and thus might be willing to do the work for a bit lower price.

The “View Service Offers” and “Review My … Service Requests” buttons on either of the Service Request pages allow you to review service requests you have sent out and any offers you have received from shops. We also send an e-mail to alert you to any service offer you receive from a shop responding to your service request.

Is my identity revealed to shops when I create a Service Request?
No. ProCarCare acts as the intermediary, so you are not subject to unwanted sales calls. After you follow the steps to submit a Service Request, we send it to nearby Shops in a “blind” copy so they don’t see your name. They respond by submitting a bid for your work that we then post to your ProCarCare page. We’ll e-mail you to let you know when a bid comes in. You can view the status of your Service Requests at any time by clicking on the “View Service Offer” link on the Discount or Premium Service Requests page. If you receive a bid you wish to accept, you will then need to send in your name and contact information to make the service appointment.
